Jopie Item is a well known Indonesian guitarist from the 1960s. He has played  and collaborated with many well known musicians such as Yance Manusama, Abadi Soesman, and many more. He grew up loving and surrounded by Jazz music. His father is a known Jazz figure and guitarist, Loedwijk Item. Jopie’s  children Audy Item is a singer and Stevie Item is a guitarist. In 1976,  Jopie Item became a controversial jazz musician because he blends the essence of rock music with jazz (rock jazz), something that is unheard of during that time. 
For Motion Blue Jakarta, Jopie Item will perform with his band Jopie Item & Friends. The band is made up of seasoned players Astrid (Vocal), Ntank (Vocal), Tomy (Vocal), Ade Aviantara (Bass), Devie Purnama ( Drum), Kemat (Piano/Keyboard), & Jopie Item (Guitar).
