Harry Toledo was born in Riau, Indonesia in 1972. He learned bass guitar from a young age through autodiduct. Eventually, Harry got a chance to pursue his passion by learning from jazz maestro Idang Rasjidi and the late Ireng Maulana as well as many other Indonesian jazz legends. In 2000, Harry joined several talented friends that he met in Jakarta and formed a band called “Cherokee.” “Cherokee’s” album churned up several hit singles and Tompi became the lead vocal on their tour. In 2004, Harry joined the “Bali Lounge” band that consist of five members both local and international. In the same year,  Harry recorded with maestro Bob James & Harve Mason as well as play with them in Bangkok International Jazz. Harry frequently perform in many jazz events and festivals around the world and have played with many well known musicians such as Phill Pherry, Jack Lee, Azmi and many more. 

Between 2006 until 2008, Harry came out with three solo bass albums titled Soul Emotion Bass I, Soul Emotion Bass II, Soul Emotion Bass III.  In 2010, Harry came out with his fourth album titled Harry Toledo & Turbulence of Soul, which  becomes his current band name. Harry Toledo and Turbulence of Soul has extensive experience playing in local and international events to great review.
