Flying Syrup is an Asia based Britpop and rock band started by front man Nic. The band first launched itself as a cover band in Indonesia and was one of the most popular bar and club acts in Jakarta during the mid-2000s. As well liked as they were, the band eventually grew dissatisfied playing other people's songs, leading to the Flying Syrup recording originals of their own. The famed cover outfit soon became well known for their own fresh and catchy British rock songs such as 'Out Of My Mind' - inspired by "virtually any sound that was created in the UK since The Beatles until this day." In 2016, the band launched their sophomore record entitled Spirit of 8. Currently, the core members of the band are made up of Aan on bass and backing vocals, Benny on piano and keyboards, and the band's founder Nic as lead vocal and guitarist. Galih on drum and percussion as well as Dhany on guitar will join the performance in Motion Blue Jakarta.
